Microsoft Family

Microsoft Family

Microsoft Family app provides reports and parental controls across the devices in your family.

It can be used on devices such as PC’s, gaming consoles and smart phones.

How does Microsoft Family Work?

Microsoft Family works by you (the Parent) downloading the app and starting the family group.  The first group member is known as the Family Organiser.

Then you begin to add your family members to your group. You can do this by inviting them using their phone number or email address. Each group member will need a Microsoft Account so if they don’t already have one you can create one for them as part of the setup.

Once your family members have been added, you can begin to set the parental controls for them and their devices.

Microsoft Family Features

Set screen time limits – once the family member (child) has signed into their microsoft account, you will be able ot set screen time limits for them.

Filter Content – Turn on Filter Content and select an appropriate age range, set search filters and block adult content.

Activity Reports – you can see your child’s activity across their devices.

Find your family – if your child has their device with them you will be able to see their location.
