How we got Cyber Smart

08/31/2020

How We Got Cyber Smart

Online strangers and cyber bullying.  This is what twins Olivia and Jack encountered when they snuck out of their rooms one night to secretly use the tablet they received for their birthday.

Author, Lisa Rothfield-Kirschner, has created a story with characters that children can instantly relate to.  Aimed at primary school children, How We Got Cyber Smart, covers off on topics such as parental supervision, agreed boundaries for device use in the home and what to do if being cyber bullied.

If you have been following me for a while, then you will know how passionate I am about giving kids a strategy they can use when something online makes the feel uncomfortable.  So it will be no surprise to you, that I just loved the bonus activity at the end of the story that helps your child create a visual of trusted adults in their lives – brilliant!
