Cyber Safety Workshops

Yesterday I attended a lovely afternoon tea with some other mums and learnt some really quick and practical ways to filter what my kids can be exposed to as they learn to be digital citizens. We also ate cake, so a win win really. We were given an instructional ebook that has since allowed me to set up safe searching on search engines and filter other frquented web and social platforms to limit unsuitable content. I was completely unaware that all of these free safeguards existed, and, as I learn to navigate this space as a parent, it gives great peace of mind to know that our devices are now set up 'behind the scenes' to maximise our kids' safety. So, if you like afternoon tea and digital safety, get Nicolle from The Tech Mum (https://www.thetechmum.com) to come and see you and your pals! (I will come too if you have cake)

Cyber Safety Workshops

FREE for the Host;

$30 per person

North Brisbane, Brisbane & South Brisbane

Cyber Safety Workshops are designed to help parents get started with the practical side of internet safety.

Cyber Safety Workshops create an opportunity for parents to bring along their child’s iPad/iPhone and begin to put safety measures in place there and then.  Parents receive information about other practical steps for online safety as well as receiving takeaway notes so that they can apply the same settings to any other devices your child has at home. On-on-one assistance during the workshop ensures that parent’s are comfortable with making modifying changes to the settings by themselves when the time comes.

If you have a large group the workshop can be held on your premises or another suitable location secured.  Parents are encouraged to hold one in their own home and invite their friends to attend with their child’s iPad.

Workshops are currently created specifically around Apple devices, however, The Tech Mum can separately cater to a group whose children use android devices.

If you would like to enquire about organising a date for a Cyber Safety Workshop, then please use the booking form below or email me at nic@thetechmum.com or phone me directly on 0412 669 200.
